Skandi Neptune Gets Canada Job

DOF Subsea has been awarded a subsea oil field support project offshore Newfoundland for a Canadian operator.

The contract award follows another win in Canada this month for the multipurpose vessel Skandi Chieftain hired for a 5-month campaign.

For this new project the ROV construction support vessel Skandi Neptune will be utilized. Financial details and contract duration have not been disclosed.

The vessel, converted in 2005, is equipped with a heave compensated 250 t crane along with two 3 000-meter rated WROVs.

It has been a relatively busy month for DOF Subsea which also secured contracts in the Asia Pacific and Atlantic regions.
