Seaway Heavy Lifting has selected BASF, as part of the grouting subcontract with FoundOcean, for the supply of MasterFlow 9800 to the Beatrice offshore wind farm project.

The grout will be installed by BASF’s licensed contractor FoundOcean.

MasterFlow 9800 grout was mainly chosen for the grouting of the 84 jacket foundations for the Beatrice wind turbines and two jackets for the offshore transmission modules.

The £2.6bn Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd (BOWL) project has been given the green light for construction by owners SSE (40%), Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) (35%) and Red Rock Power Limited (25%) after reaching Financial Close in May 2016.
