Fugro Extends Skandi Carla Charter with DOF

Fugro has extended the firm period of hire for the Skandi Carla time charter contract from July 2017 until end October 2019, the Oslo-listed DOF Subsea said on Friday.

Skandi Carla is a purpose-designed and built ROV survey, IRM and construction support vessel.

The 84 meters long vessel with accommodation for 80 personnel was built and delivered to DOF in 2001 by Aker Aukra.

Skandi Carla is a ship of MT 6002 design, equipped with a 50 tonnes crane with optimum deployment and recovery speeds at depths down to 3,000 metres, and a moon pool for ROV deployment using a custom-built Rolls-Royce Launch & Recovery System (LARS).
