DOF Subsea Scores Mediterranean Job

Norway-based DOF Subsea said it has secured a contract for the provision of the multipurpose support vessel (MSV) Skandi Skansen in the Mediterranean.

The contract is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter this year and secures utilization of 90 days plus options for the vessel, the Oslo-listed firm said last Friday.

Prior to this contract, the vessel has been engaged to complete an inspection campaign in UKCS and an anchor handling scope in the Norwegian Sea.

Built in 2011, the 107-meter Skandi Skansen is a new generation anchor handler designed for field installation operations, but it is also classified as a CSV as the vessel is equipped to carry out construction support activities.
