GC Rieber’s Polar Queen Gets More Time with Senvion

Norwegian shipping company GC Rieber Shipping said that Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer Senvion has decided to extend the firm period of charter for the construction support vessel (CSV) Polar Queen until December 6, 2017.

In addition, Senvion has the option to extend the charter further by up to 3 weeks.

The previously agreed firm period, announced in July last year, was set to end October 13, 2017. CSV Polar Queen was then chartered to support turbine commission by Senvion at the Nordsee One wind farm in the German North Sea.

The firm extension and new options replace the previously agreed options, the Oslo-listed GC Rieber noted.
