Well Centric has appointed Gary Smart as new chief executive officer.

Gary has held a variety of management positions throughout his career, spending 11 years at Weatherford before joining Tendeka in 2009, where he spent six years as CEO.

FrontRow chief executive Stuart Ferguson said: “FrontRow is committed to developing new technologies which bring substantial cost reductions to the industry. Well-Centric is achieving that by developing solutions which combat a wide range of issues faced in maximizing production from mature fields.

“We are delighted to welcome Gary to Well-Centric, where he will lead the next phase of growth including a strong focus on R&D and taking new products to market, as well as targeted international expansion. His technical background and commercial acumen, teamed with his extensive management experience, will be invaluable for both Well-Centric and the wider FrontRow group.”

Gary added: “Well-Centric boasts a strong offering in the well integrity arena backed by outstanding inhouse engineering skills and customer service. I’m looking forward to helping channel this track record, alongside the development of new business streams, and a focus on technology and services development to maximize global opportunities and bring value to our many clients.”
