BW Offshore Gets FPSO Umuroa Extension

BW Offshore has received a contract extension for the lease and operation of the FPSO Umuroa.

The extension is for one year from Q4 2017 to Q4 2018, the company said.

The FPSO is operating offshore New Zealand for Tamarind in the Tui Area oil field.

Oil is produced from the Tui, Amokura and Pateke oil reservoirs via subsea wells connected to the Umuroa FPSO.

The FPSO has a storage capacity of 700,000 barrels of stabilized crude oil.
