Ultra Deep Solutions Eyes Pipe Layer Project

Ultra Deep Solutions has said it is exploring the cost to build a 5000-ton lift DP3 deepwater flexible pipelay vessel.

Reportedly, the vessel would be capable of S-lay and J-lay installation method down to 3800 msw.

According to UDS, the vessel will be built for an end client who is looking also at the “Hybrid” market.

“For UDS this is an interesting project to get involved in. We are constantly looking at new ways of technology to advance ship building forward.

“Technology will be now our focus as we go into a new segment. We are honored to work closely with our partners to move this project forward,” said Shel Hutton, CEO of UDS.
