Aker Solutions Appoints New UK Country Manager

Aker Solutions has appointed Sian Lloyd Rees as UK country manager, based in Aberdeen.

Lloyd Rees takes over country management responsibility from David Clark who will now focus on his role as executive vice president for Aker Solutions’ global services organization.

Her career started in the oil and gas industry working at Stena Offshore before progressing across multiple lines of business in the Halliburton Corporation. She also spent time working in the IT industry with Petrocosm and Oracle Corporation.

Lloyd Rees joined Aker Solutions in 2014 and has held leadership roles in several functions, including strategy and marketing, services development and global alliances. As well as her role as country manager for the UK, she will lead the customer management function for Aker Solutions across Europe and Africa.

“I am pleased to lead the UK management team at an exciting time for our business in the UK”, said Sian Lloyd Rees. “With the refurbishment of our world-class subsea service facility and our growing production asset services business in Aberdeen, the development of a leading products technology center in Reading, and an integrated front end and engineering execution organization in London, we have an excellent opportunity to build market share and continue to deliver sustainable energy solutions for our customers globally.”
