Energinet Looks to Buy Bornholm Spare Cable

Danish national transmission system operator Energinet wishes to purchase a 3.300 meters long spare cable for the Bornholm interconnector to ensure readiness for a cable repair in case of a failure.

The Bornholm interconnector between the Danish island of Bornholm and Sweden consists of 3 single core XLPE subsea cables operated at 60kV.

The scope of supply consists of all labour, equipment and materials required for design, fabrication, factory testing, supply and delivery.

Energinet has set a deadline for submission of tenders for September 3, 2018.

Danish subsea services provider JD-Contractor covers contingency repairs of all Energinet subsea asserts in Denmark, including the transmission systems and the export cables.
