New Head of Technology Joins ROVOP

ROVOP has appointed Lee Wilson to the newly created role of head of Technology.

Lee will establish a detailed vision for ROVOP and lead the company’s technology development in line with key client drivers such as cost optimization, digital transformation and enhanced HSEQ performance.

He will also oversee all business applications and IT aspects of the company for the purpose of organisational growth.

Lee has an extensive engineering background in subsea robotics. He joins the company from Subsea 7 where, as ROV and Autonomy Programme manager, he led several remote technology programmes including the development of an autonomous inspection vehicle.

Lee said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at ROVOP as Hhead of Technology, at an exciting time for the business and for the wider marine robotics industry.

“Since ROVOP’s inception, it has differentiated itself through its quality of service and its agility in the sector. I look forward to strengthening the company’s offering through well-timed technology deployment and digital initiatives, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service in the market.”

Steven Gray, ROVOP’s CEO added: “We are thrilled to have Lee come on board. His skills and experience are essential parts of our strategy to further service our customers’ subsea intervention needs, and we look forward to developing our services further with the help of Lee and his team.
