James Fisher Subsea Excavation Boosts Its Team

James Fisher Subsea Excavation (JFSE) has boosted its team by a number of key appointments and promotions.

The strategic appointments ensure that the team is best placed to anticipate and respond to client demands, the company said.

Andrew Simpson has been appointed to the role of commercial and proposals manager, with the responsability for all commercial and contractual matters at JFSE, working alongside the business development, technical and senior management teams.

He has more than seven years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and was previously a quantity surveyor.

Jim Feeley, the new QHSE manager, will be responsible for the efficient delivery of JFSE’s services focused on the health and wellbeing of the team and ensuring the environmental impact is minimal.

His background includes being an engineer in the RAF, as well as QHSE roles in a number of energy companies and an auditor for the British Safety Council.

In addition, JFSE has named Ian Grimmer as equipment manager. Ian is responsible for tracking, coordinating and maintaining JFSE equipment globally. He is a mechanical engineer and has been involved with asset integrity for more than 20 years.

Furthermore, Stuart Porteous has become senior business development manager UK, Europe and West Africa.

Stuart was initially business development executive for UK and Europe. He has since expanded the company’s global footprint into West Africa and is responsible for sourcing opportunities where controlled flow excavation services can improve efficiencies for clients.

Steven Kaub has been promoted to senior business development manager Americas.

Steve was appointed as a business development executive for USA in 2015 and has been responsible for developing the client base in the Americas. He oversees our Houston operations in the Americas.

Lastly, David Shewan has become internal project manager. David joined the team in 2015 as an IT consultant.

Kenneth R Mackie, managing director at JFSE, said: “We are committed to being ahead of the curve in terms of our offering. Our technologies are world-leading and we have the most experienced CFE professionals in the world working with us.

“These new appointments and promotions reflect where we are as a company now – a provider of integrated subsea excavation services with a truly global footprint.

“Congratulations to our long-standing team members who have been promoted, their commitment and ability to innovate have been central to our success to date. We are also delighted to bring new personnel into the team with the ideas and experience to further benefit our clients.”
