Teledyne Marine Continues Expansion

Teledyne Marine has welcomed Kirsty Blackman, MP for Aberdeen North, spokesperson for the Economy and Deputy SNP leader in Westminster, to meet the team and visit the company’s workshops.

The visit comes after the company’s creation of ten new roles at its Dyce and Bridge of Don facilities, following the transfer of two product lines from Teledyne TSS.

Kristy had the opportunity to see where the teams design and manufacture the latest in technology in underwater equipment.

Kirsty Blackman said: “It was great to visit Teledyne Technologies on Friday to meet with managers and staff, to learn more about the business and have a tour of the facilities at the site. I am always pleased to see a company thriving in this current economic climate, providing a large number of skilled jobs and opportunity for local economic growth.”

The firm’s expansion continues with a planned increase of a new termination test facility at the Bridge of Don site and a further six roles in the pipeline for later in the year.

Teledyne Marine’s operation in Aberdeen specialize in the design and manufacture of underwater vision systems, underwater pipe and cable detection systems, motion sensors and custom-moulded cable assemblies.

Michael Parkin, head of Business Operations for Teledyne Marine in Aberdeen added: “Throughout this year, we have seen growth and investment in the local area and the wider business community, indicating a renewed confidence in Aberdeen. We believe now is the perfect time to continue to invest in our company to aid further growth going forward. Our new colleagues almost doubles our headcount in the granite city; they are placed strategically within the team to complement our existing strengths which allow us to expand the services we offer and provide first class solutions for our clients locally.”
