VIDEO: Building the Research Vessel Investigator

RV Investigator is a highly advanced research vessel with a broad range of scientific equipment to support marine scientists in the following disciplines:

- oceanography and climatology.

- fisheries, marine ecosystem and marine environmental research.

- a wide range of marine geosciences.

- multi-disciplinary marine research.

It will replace the current Marine National Facility Research Vessel, the 66-metre Southern Surveyor.
