3sun Group, a specialist provider of products and services to the energy industry has won the title of Great Manufacturing and Engineering Business in the Spirit of Enterprise Awards 2013.

Winners were announced at a prestigious black tie ceremony on Friday (15 March) at The Zest Rooms, Potters Leisure Resort, Great Yarmouth. The awards celebrated all that is outstanding in business and enterprise in the Borough of Great Yarmouth.

3sun Group scooped the Great Manufacturing and Engineering Business award, in recognition of its excellent working practices and exceptional growth.

3sun Group managing director Graham Hacon said: “We are extremely proud to have won the Great Manufacturing and Engineering Business category at this year’s Spirit of Enterprise Awards. This is a great achievement and recognises the hard work and dedication of the whole team.

“We have experienced rapid growth in recent years, increasing our staff numbers from one to 200. Since its inception, the company has grown significantly, going from a start-up turnover of £1.5m to nearly £12m in 5 years. In response to growing demand for our products and services across the UK and Europe, we have recently increased manpower with the creation of 100 new jobs.
