Norway: IKM Ocean Design Wins Johan Sverdrup Infield Pipelines Development Contract

Statoil has awarded the concept phase for the Johan Sverdrup Infield Pipelines to IKM Ocean Design.

The project starts immediately and will run up to the end of 2013 Man Dir. in IKM Ocean Design, Peder Hoås, says in a press release that IKM Ocean Design is very proud being given the contract for developing the concept of the infield pipeline solutions on the Johan Sverdrup oil field.

IKM Ocean Design is established with offices in Stavanger, Trondheim and Perth-Australia. The Company employs approximately 100 engineers within the areas field development, subsea pipelines, subsea structures and topside engineering.

The Johan Sverdrup Field is located at Utsira High in the Norwegian Sector of the North Sea. The distance to the Grane field in the north and Sleipner in the south are approximately 40 and 65 km respectively and 140 km west of Stavanger.

The water depth in the areas is in the range of 110-120 meter.
