UK: Narec Seeks Contractor for Geotechnical Survey Offshore Blyth

Narec is seeking a contractor to undertake a geotechnical survey for the Blyth Offshore Wind Demonstrator Project.

Under the contract, the company should survey contractor should be able to:

Provide vessels and equipment suitable for undertaking geotechnical survey at the site, in the anticipated water depths, metocean conditions and seabed types;

Provide vessels that meet the appropriate UK and international maritime standards; Undertake geotechnical survey to appropriate UK and international standards;

Undertake a range of geotechnical survey techniques appropriate for the site including, but not limited to, soil and sediment sampling to rockhead with coring equpment, soil strength assessment through cone penetrometer testing to first refusal and drilling/coring in competent sandstones to at least 50m below seabed in water depths from 0 to 55m MSL.
