IIMS Annual Conference Moved (UK)

The International Institute of Marine Surveying has moved its 2014 annual conference, dinner and Annual General Meeting to coincide with Seawork 2014.

Institute CEO John Lawrence comments: “London is pricing itself out of the market: the cost of hiring a venue, paying for the facilities and then the high cost of accommodation has made the decision to move a financial necessity. The attraction of moving the event from May to June to marry up with Seawork will be an added bonus for delegates. We have been telling our worldwide membership about Seawork for over ten years, now is their opportunity to see it for real.”

The Conference, dinner and AGM usually attracts about one hundred delegates from as far away as Australia and Indonesia, as well as the USA, UAE and India, with the last conference having representation from thirty eight countries. With 2014 bringing a new President and election of Officers, this is an important event that many members will want to attend.
