Fugro Undertakes Geotechnical Investigation for Rampion Offshore Wind Farm

Fugro is undertaking offshore geotechnical investigation operations for the proposed Rampion wind farm, which is developed by E.ON Climate and Renewables.

The geotechnical investigation is carried out from the vessels MV Markab and MV Bucentaur at the wind farm’s location in the eastern English Channel. As part of this project, Fugro will also perform additional offshore geotechnical investigations which will follow soon after, KIS-ORCA says on its website.

Rampion offshore wind farm could have up to 175 turbines and a capacity of 700MW, which could generate enough electricity to supply the equivalent of around 450,000 homes.
