Pacific Khamsin Starts Work for Chevron (Nigeria)

Pacific Drilling S.A. announced that its ultra-deepwater drillship the Pacific Khamsin received its drilling permit and commenced its drilling contract on December 17, 2013.

The vessel will start work on a two-year contract for Chevron in Nigeria.

Pacific Khamsin, of Samsung 12000 design, is capable of operating in 12,000 ft water depth with a maximum 40,000 ft drilling depth.
