CARIS Vice President Paul Cooper Elected President of THSOA
Vice President of CARIS USA, Paul Cooper, has been elected as the new president of The Hydrographic Society of America (THSOA).
THSOA is a non-profit organization and has been in operation for 33 years with a mission to promote education in hydrography. The officers and board of trustees are all volunteers and receive no compensation for their time and efforts.
Paul Cooper has been the Vice President of the CARIS USA office for over seven years and has 30 plus years of hydrography and geospatial experience. He will take the reins as president of THSOA as of January 1, 2014.
One of the main functions of THSOA is to host the biennial US Hydro event. The coordination of US Hydro 2015 will be one of Paul’s first tasks as the newly elected president.
