SRM Projects Awarded Two Investigative Licenses for Tidal Energy Sites
The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (MFLNRO) has awarded SRM Projects two ocean energy investigative licenses.
The licenses are for south Discovery Passage and Seymour Narrows tidal energy sites.
South Discovery Passage investigative area is between the City of Campbell River and the south end of Quadra Island.
The second license is for Seymour Narrows site which is situated north of the City of Campbell River and Menzies Bay.
Regarding the licenses, the Company stated: “We are very pleased with this result and remain committed to working with local First Nations, communities and authorities having jurisdiction while we proceed with the investigative activities.”
