The glider will be used in coastal and open ocean environments worldwide, including polar environments.

The required glider should be able to profile down to 1,000 m water depth or greater.

It must be programmed to turn around underwater without surfacing (‘W’ shaped profiling), and to have an altimeter allowing automated bottom avoidance.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is April 02, 2014.
