SeaBird's Two Vessels Awarded New Contracts

SeaBird Exploration Plc’s Harrier Explorer vessel has been awarded a two-month extension to the current contract in the North Sea.

The vessel will operate under the extended contract until the second half of May 2014. The value of the extension is estimated at USD 4 million.

The Aquila Explorer has been awarded a contract for a survey off the North West shelf of Australia. In addition, the vessel has been contracted for two surveys in New Zealand. The three contracts have a combined estimated duration of 40 days and a value of approximately USD 5 million.

The company’s backlog is currently approximately USD 70 million.

SeaBird is a global provider of marine acquisition for 2D/3D and 4D seismic data, and associated products and services to the oil and gas industry. SeaBird specializes in high quality operations within the high end of the source vessel and 2D market, as well as in the shallow/deep water 2D/3D and 4D market.
