CoreSite Realty Corporation reported that Pacnet, has upgraded its trans-Pacific and Asia subsea cable network to 100Gbps to address the growing demand for bandwidth services throughout the U.S. and Asia-Pacific region.

Through Pacnet, CoreSite’s customers have the ability to connect to diverse carriers and gain high-capacity subsea cable access without purchasing backhaul to a landing station.

Pacnet is the first carrier to provide 100Gbps services between the U.S. and Asia in an effort to support customers that require increasingly higher bandwidth solutions. This expansion is critical to the digital content companies, carriers, and large enterprises looking to direct connectivity to the Asia Pacific region.
