Ramboll Foundation Appoints New Chairman

Flemming Bligaard Pedersen

Ramboll Foundation announced that Flemming Bligaard Pedersen will succeed Svend Aage Nielsen as Chairman.

Flemming Bligaard Pedersen joined Ramboll as a civil engineer in 1976, and became Group CEO in 1992 until he retired in 2012. He was awarded the European CEO of the year 2011 by an international jury appointed by ACE (Association for Consultancy and Engineering) in the United Kingdom. He is also president of EFCA (European Federation of Engineering Consultants Associations).

Svend Aage Nielsen is stepping out of the Foundation after being member of the Ramboll Foundation Board for close to thirty years –the past six years as the Chairman. Neel Strøbæk, Group Director for Environment, will enter the foundation board.

Moreover, members elected by employees were up for replacement, and the newly elected members are:

  • Helene Urth, Business Manager, Ramboll Management Consulting (replaces Frantz Buch Knudsen),
  • Marie Kjellerup Thesbjerg, Aarhus, Project Manager, Transport, Ramboll Denmark (replaces Søren Staugaard Nielsen),
  • Mogens G. Nielsen, Senior Chief Consultant, Ramboll Energy (replaces Susanne Pedersen),
  • Helen Kristensen, Head of Department, Ramboll Denmark (re-elected).

The new composition of the Ramboll Foundation Board is:

  • Flemming Bligaard Pedersen, Chairman, former Group CEO, Ramboll Group,
  • Carsten Uttenthal, Deputy Chairman, Former Director, Transport, Ramboll Danmark,
  • Klavs Munch Koefoed, Senior Project Director, Transport, Ramboll Denmark,
  • Annika Holmqvist, Senior Market Sector Director, Transport, Ramboll Sweden,
  • Mikko Leppänen, Technical Director, Transport, Ramboll Finland,
  • Jens-Christian Schmidt, Former Regional Director, Ramboll Denmark,
  • Bjørn Tore Landsem, Regional manager, Ramboll Norway,
  • Neel Strøbæk, Group Director, Environment, Ramboll Group,
  • Helen Kristensen, Head of Department, Ramboll Denmark (elected by employees),
  • Helene Urth, Business Manager, Ramboll Management Consulting (elected by employees),
  • Marie Kjellerup Thesbjerg, Aarhus, Project Manager, Ramboll Transport (elected by employees),
  • Mogens G. Nielsen, Senior Chief Consultant, Ramboll Energy (elected by employees).

Also, Camilla Behrens will be replacing Kim Bergholt as Secretary to the Foundation Board.
