INNOVATION Installs Twenty Foundations at Westermost Rough OWF

Twenty foundations have been installed so far at the Westermost Rough offshore wind farm, and the installation vessel INNOVATION is on its way back to the site with the fifth foundation batch loaded.

The construction work is carried out according to schedule and with a very good performance, despite harsh weather conditions over the last week, Jan Klaassen, Business Unit Manager for Offshore Renewables at GeoSea informed.

The installation works are scheduled to be finished by June 2014.

The Westermost Rough will comprise 35 wind turbines from Siemens, each with a 6MW capacity.

The wind farm site will be situated 8km from the Holderness coast, approximately 25 km north of Spurn Head at the river Humber estuary.
