The conference will provide the international research community the opportunity to exchange experiences and their work in the field of marine energy development and will allow Scotland to show its expertise in this field.

The conference is supported by the VisitScotland Conference Bid Fund and organisations such as Scottish Natural Heritage and the Natural Environment Research Council.

Environmental Interactions of Marine Renewables also received support from renewable energy firms Aquamarine Power and Pelamis Wave Power.

The event will be held for two days and it will include workshops and field trips, giving visitors a chance to see the north west coast.
