Neptune Awarded Ichthys ROV and Survey Contract

Neptune Marine Services Ltd has been awarded a survey and ROV contract by McDermott on the Ichthys LNG Project. McDermott is the appointed main contractor for the subsea umbilical, riser, flowline project for INPEX.

Expected to commence early May, the initial phase will include pre-lay survey of the field, installation of eight LBL acoustic positioning arrays and the provision of one of Neptune’s Swift XL Work Class ROVs.

“We are pleased to be awarded this contract. Our Geomatics business has considerable experience on the Ichthys Project, having previously completed the pipeline route survey, the longest of its kind in Australia, along with a number of other near shore and offshore site investigations for other clients. It is a significant accomplishment to be awarded further works as the project progresses,” said Robin King, Neptune’s Chief Executive Officer.
