VIDEO: DONG Energy’s Development of Hejre Field

Hejre field Development

The development of the Hejre field will be the largest oil and gas development in the Danish sector of the North Sea for many years, and will significantly boost Denmark’s status as being self-sufficient in oil and gas.

The field is located in the central part of the North Sea near the Danish/Norwegian border. The development of the Hejre field comprises installation of a new production platform, including accommodation, wellhead and processing modules, five new production wells and separate pipelines for the oil and gas.

The pipelines will connect the Hejre field to the existing North Sea infrastructure and ensures safe transport of the produced oil and gas to onshore treatment facilities.

See the animation which gives an impression of how this complex project will be realised over the coming years, from May 2014 with the installation of the jacket structure into the seabed and towards 2016, where the Hejre field will become operational.
