Contractor Needed for BBL Offshore Pipeline Survey 2015

BBL Company, established to design, construct, operate and exploit the BBL pipeline, has invited tenders for the BBL Offshore Pipeline Survey 2015.

The survey will include acoustic inspections, bathymetric surveys and visual inspections of approximately 230km of the offshore pipeline which transports gas from Balgzand in the Netherlands to Bacton in the United Kingdom.

The scope of the work will focus on delivering high quality data to determine the vertical and horizontal position of the pipeline, free span and exposure dimensions, and any features outside the anomaly criteria.

The contractor will be required to provide a detailed survey report.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is August 24, 2014.

The BBL has an overall length of around 235 kilometres. It consists of four kilometres of onshore pipeline, and a 230 kilometre offshore pipeline that terminates at Bacton, where the pipeline is being connected to an existing gas terminal.
