WesternGeco Extends Time Charter for Geco Bluefin

WesternGeco, a land and marine seismic acquisition technologies provider, declared its option to extend the Time Charter for Geco Bluefin seismic vessel.

The extension agreed with Norwegian Volstad Maritime is for one year from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2015.

Geco Bluefin is an 80 meter long DP II class seismic research vessel, doing Q-seabed seismic for WesternGeco.

The vessel was first built as the fishing vessel “Inda”, in 1980, and converted into a Seismic research vessel in 1999.
