DOF-Subsea-SubC-Partner-to-Work-on-Dumbarton-Field-480x323SubC Partner has awarded DOF Subsea UK two contracts to support the execution of its project to replace selected buoyancy modules on a live riser for Maersk Oil in the Dumbarton Field.

The first scope focuses on onshore solution optimization, and sees DOF Subsea providing ROV assets, personnel and technical support to SubC Partner during the performance of the project wet tests, which will take place this August in Esbjerg, Denmark.


Subsea-7-KBR-Ink-Partnership-Deal-480x355Subsea 7 has signed an agreement to form an alliance with Houston-based KBR, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Granherne, to collaborate in the delivery of Concept and Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) services to the global offshore oil and gas industry.

Within the cooperation agreement between the companies, Granherne will support Subsea 7 on concept and FEED studies and Subsea 7 will support Granherne with subsea engineering and technology.


harkand high.Harkand’s key shareholder Oaktree Capital Management has invested an additional $25 million which should allow the company to expand its footprint in new and existing regions.

The IMR specialist has recently been awarded three major frame agreements taking them into West Africa and Mexico for the first time. It has also expanded its services with its first decommissioning project in the North Sea supporting Maersk Oil North Sea Ltd.


Aker-Solutions-Posts-Profit-Drop-445x370Aker Solutions has seen its profit decline in the second quarter on MMO overcapacity, lease costs and lower demand for subsea services in the North Sea.

The company generated revenue of NOK 8 billion in the second quarter of 2015 compared with NOK 8.1 billion a year earlier, due to projects in Africa, Norway and Brazil.However, revenue for the first half of 2015 rose to NOK 16.5 billion from NOK 15.5 billion a year earlier.


Trio-Awarded-EUR-1.5-Bln-to-Build-UK-Norway-Power-Link-480x320A joint venture between National Grid and Statnett SF has awarded contracts totalling €1.5 billion to build the NSN link, the first electricity link between UK and Norway.

NSN Link has contracted with two cable suppliers, Prysmian and Nexans, to deliver the cable needed for the 740 kilometre route length. The converter stations in both UK and Norway will be delivered by ABB.
