A diver has been airlifted to hospital after a dive boat in Bridlington Bay called the UK Coastguard.

The call came in at 2.35pm on August 16, reporting that the 60-year-old female diver was unconscious, but breathing. Despite the efforts of all involved, the diver was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, UK Coastguard said in a statement.

Italian oilfield services player, Saipem, has received notice of an impending investigation and a request for documentation from the Public Prosecutor of the Republic in Milan in relation to new criminal proceedings for the alleged crime of international corruption opened by the judicial authorities in Milan.

These proceedings concern a contract that the Brazilian company Petrobras awarded to Saipem SA (France) and Saipem do Brasil (Brazil) in 2011.

OneSubsea, a Cameron and Schlumberger company, was awarded a contract in the second quarter of 2015 to supply subsea processing systems for the Shell Offshore Stones development in the Gulf of Mexico.

This award follows a Technology Qualification Program and will deliver the “industry’s first” 15,000-psi subsea pump system, to be installed in the Gulf of Mexico at approximately 9500 ft (2900 m).

Aquatic Engineering and Construction has been awarded a multi-million pound contract on the $10-billion Moho Nord subsea project, off the coast of the Republic of Congo, West Africa.

The contract was awarded by a UK-based subcontractor working for Total E&P Congo. Aquatic’s ten-month campaign portion will mobilise in October 2015.

Ultra Deep Group (UDS) has signed another contract with China Merchants Heavy Industry to build one Ultra Deep Installer – Multipurpose Diving Support Construction Vessel.

The vessel, which is based on the proprietary design “Red Class 6027” MT design DSCV, is a DP3, 142-meter multipurpose subsea diving support construction vessel, and the planned delivery of the vessel is Q1 2018.
