Offshore Energy is in full swing in Amsterdam where industry experts meet for the day two of the event which will see another action-packed program, starting off with a technical session on offshore safety.

Speakers from WellSpec, NOGEPA, DNV-GL Oil & Gas Netherlands and Paragon Offshore will evaluate the consequences of the new European Union Offshore Safety Directive and share the experience of different stakeholders in implementing the changes.

The session will also look at the challenges of diverging safety regimes between countries, partners and industry organizations and explores the need for collaboration.


saabYesterday was a busy day, here at Amsterdam RAI. As a small highlight we met with another ROV manufacturer, Saab Seaeye, exhibiting their Leopard at the event but also demonstrating ability to customize their vehicles according to operators needs, and ability to adapt the vehicles to various situations and improving them based on the previous experience on the field.


Day two will as well, in a special event dedicated to marine energy, offer delegates an insight in the latest developments in the field of tidal and wave energy, salinity power and OTEC. Besides updates about the Texel tidal demonstration project and the salinity gradient power station on the Afsluitdijk there will be attention for developing a shared vision for the marine energy sector.

Additional technical sessions, such as Well Intervention Vessels, Subsea Processing and Decommissioning will also welcome offshore professionals sharing their knowledge and discussing the latest developments in these areas.

During the subsea processing session, which is one of the last for the day, delegates will be presented with the up to date progress in subsea processing solutions including water removal and re-injection or disposal, boosting, gas separation and gas compression. Experts will present the viability of subsea processing for both green fields and brown fields.
