Magseis in Malaysia Win

Norwegian ocean bottom seismic specialist, Magseis, has been awarded a contract by Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia, through its local partner Dialog Services Sdn. Bhd.

The letter of award was previously announced in November, however, the company did not disclose any additional information.

The contract will see Magseis carry out seabed seismic acquisition using its MASS system and vessel Artemis Athene.

The project entails a high density 3D survey of approximately 100km2 at the Bokor Field, offshore Sarawak.

According to Magseis, the OBS project, which will begin shortly, is expected last approximately 4.5 months.

The Oslo-listed company did not disclose the commercial terms between the parties.
