Sif Provides Pin Piles for Beatrice OWF

Sif Holding, a manufacturer of steel tubulars used as foundation components for the offshore wind and oil & gas markets, has been awarded the production of pin piles for the Beatrice offshore wind farm.

The Beatrice offshore wind farm will be located in the Outer Moray Firth in Scotland.

The 588 MW offshore wind farm comprises 84 wind turbines on pre-piled jacket substructures.

The power will be collected on two offshore transmission modules via 33 kV array cables and associated equipment.

Beatrice offshore wind farm, once fully constructed and operational, will provide energy equivalent to the needs of approximately 470,000 homes.
