PGS Starts Bréanann Seismic Shoot Off Ireland

Norwegian seismic player, PGS, has kicked off the Bréanann 3D seismic programme for Woodside on Frontier Exploration Licence (FEL) 3/14 in the Porcupine Basin, Irish Atlantic.

The survey programme will cover over 2,400 square kilometers, of which circa 40 percent relates to FEL 3/14, Petrel, which holds 15 percent carried interest in the licence, informed.

In addition to Bréanann survey, PGS also carried out the 3D survey over Granuaile prospect.

Both surveys are being conducted by PGS’ Ramform Vanguard vessel.

The campaign is expected to complete within five weeks, with the processing and interpretation requiring a few months to complete, Petrel added.
