Exmar Hires EM&I for Accommodation Barge Check-Up
Exmar has awarded EM&I, the asset integrity and IMR services provider, an ODIN contract for the diverless UWILD inspections on the Kissama accommodation barge operating offshore Cabinda, Angola.
The award follows a win with Bumi Armada for the ODIN diverless UWILD for the Armada Olombendo FPSO which will be deployed at Eni’s Block 15/06 East Hub field development, to service the Cabaça North and Cabaça Southeast fields, offshore Angola.
Graham Cross, EM&I Special Projects Director, said: “This is another milestone for our business and includes a first for ODIN on a Bureau Veritas (B.V.) Classed vessel.”

ODIN is marketed as an alternative UWILD inspection plan which includes structural inspections from within the hull using specialised NDT methods, inspections of critical isolation valves, sea chests and other components using ‘hot tap’ cctv system, a ‘fly past’ with a mini stabilised ROV and cathodic protection system measurement.
