Dalby Wraps Up Export Cable Repair on Riffgat OWF

Dalby’s barge ‘ASV Pioneer’ has recently supported the completion of an export cable repair on the Riffgat offshore wind farm near Borkum Island in Northern Germany.

Dalby worked closely with partners Bohlen & Doyen GmbH and completed the repair.

Stuart McNiven, managing director, said: “We believe the Pioneer has now proved itself to the industry after completing four such repairs in recent time, particularly as we were able to increase the working parameters on the latest repair due to the Pioneer’s excellent sea keeping capability.”

Riffgat offshore wind farm consists of 30 turbines with a total capacity of 113 megawatt (MW), and is expected to generate enough electricity for 112,000 households.
