Red Marine’s Clamp Handling System for Well Intervention Contractor

Red Marine has delivered a subsea clamp handling system to a US-based provider of subsea riserless light well intervention services.

The company delivered the fast-track project in eight weeks from initial consultation through to commissioning of the clamp handling system.

With a working load limit of 15 tons, the system is used to facilitate the installation of a Red Marine-supplied umbilical clamp during well intervention operations. Between operations, the handling system can also be used to provide a safe storage and maintenance location for the clamp.

The equipment was manufactured by Louisiana-based Bollinger Shipyards with a Red Marine engineer being onsite throughout this phase of the project to provide engineering support and input.
