Rosenberg Wins Maria Job

Rosenberg WorleyParsons AS has been awarded a contract with Subsea 7 for the fabrication of subsea structures and pipes for Wintershall’s flagship development in Norway.

This is the second in a series of deliveries for Rosenberg to Subsea 7 and Maria project. According to the company, the contract should provide work for 25 people.

In May last year, Subsea 7 was awarded a contract with a value of approximately USD 300 million for the Maria field development.

The pipeline and subsea construction contract consists of engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of 95 kilometres of rigid flowlines and associated structures to develop the Maria field.

The Maria field is located in the Haltenbanken area of the southern Norwegian Sea, some 200 kilometers from the mainland. Specifically, the field is situated approximately 20 kilometers east of the Kristin field and about 45 kilometres south of the Heidrun field in the Norwegian Sea.

The about NOK 15 billion development is expected to start production in 2018.
