Eidesvik and CGG Scrap Viking Vision Contract

Norwegian vessel owner Eidesvik and French seismic player CGG have agreed to terminate the contract for Viking Vision seismic vessel.

The contract termination has an immediate effect despite its due term at end July 2017.

Nevertheless, the Oslo-listed Eidesvik confirmed that payment of the charter rate will continue until July 2017, as in the current contract.

The Viking Vision, capable of undertaking 3D, 4D and wide-azimuth data acquisition, joined the CGG fleet in July 2007.

The vessel has been in lay up since mid-July 2016.
