Navantia-Windar to Build Nissum Bredning OWF Jackets

Navantia-Windar joint venture has been awarded a contract by Siemens Wind Power to supply jacket foundations for the Nissum Bredning (NBV) offshore wind farm.

The contract covers the supply of 3-legged jacket foundations and their corresponding piles for four SWT-7.0-154 offshore wind turbines.

These structures will be installed in NBV offshore wind farm located in the northwest part of Denmark.

NBV is an offshore wind project shared by Nissum Bredning Vindmøllelaug (55%) and Jysk Energi (45%).

The project is supported by the Danish Ministry of Energy.

This project will be executed in parallel to the construction of 42 jackets for East Anglia One at the Navantia Fene facility, the company said.

Delivery of the last Nissum Bredning jacket is planned by mid 2017.
