Siem Offshore Contractors has delivered the inter-array cable installation and post-lay burial campaign at the Veja Mate offshore wind farm in German North Sea ten weeks ahead of schedule.

Cable installation started on October 1st 2016 and since then Siem Offshore Contractors (SOC) installed 73 composite submarine power cables totaling 97 kilometers in length using its Siem Aimery and Siem Moxie vessels for cable laying and installation support.

Termination and testing activities should be completed within the next few weeks.

Veja Mate’s IAC package manager, Klaus Zwirlein, said: “We are happy to have brought this project to a successful end, ahead of schedule. Although the weather was kind to us, our achievement was realized thanks to the great team effort of our IAC staff and SOC project teams for their dedication and commitment.“
