M-Tech Offshore Acquires Cable Laying Vessel

M-Tech Offshore, the Danish joint venture company owned by NT Offshore and Maritech International, has acquired the CLV SIA cable laying vessel from CT Offshore.

The recently upgraded DP-2 cable laying vessel, has been configured for worldwide inter-array and subsea power cable installations and maintenance, with additional facilities on-board to accommodate for installation of smaller subsea cables, including fibre optics, the company explained.

The CLV SIA is equipped with efficient cable lay spread, three turntable cable tanks, deck winches, A-frame and cranes and a work-class trenching ROV ‘Seagma’.

Additional modular deck spreads are also available for support operations such as pre-lay grapnel runs and route clearances.

The CLV SIA has accommodation for 50 passengers with crew and can be utilized as a multipurpose support vessel.
