Siemens Taps DOF Subsea for Galloper Work

DOF Subsea has been awarded a contract for Skandi Constructor for Siemens on the Galloper offshore wind farm project in the North Sea.

The contract ensures that the vessel is utilized until the end of the year, the Oslo-listed company noted.

Siemens is to supply, install and commission 56 wind turbines for the Galloper wind farm project.

Mons S. Aase, CEO, stated, “I am very pleased with the contract award, and our organization’s ability to secure utilization in a challenging market.”

Galloper wind farm is a 336MW offshore project, currently being constructed 30 kilometers off the coast of Suffolk. The project will be fully operational in 2018, generating enough power for up to 336,000 homes. Construction of Galloper is being led on behalf of the project partners by innogy SE.
