PHOTO: UDS Lays Keel for Its New Diving Support Vessel
Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) has held a keel laying ceremony for its new diving support construction vessel (DSCV) Matisse at the China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) yard.
The DSCV Matisse is an MT 6027 design, measuring 145 meters in length with a beam of 27 meters.
The vessel will feature 24 men twin bell saturation system and twin SPHL, the company said.
DSCV Matisse, a DP3 Ice ‘C’ class vessel, will have almost 30,000 m3 of helium storage.
The vessel will be equipped with 400 t Huisman crane which can reach water depths of 5200 msw. The back deck comes with 2200 m2 of open space.
