Norway: Volstad Maritime Orders Another OCV from Bergen Group

Bergen Group Fosen has signed another contract with Volstad Maritime AS to build a large high end offshore construction vessel. The contract has an estimated value of NOK 750 mill, and the ship is scheduled for delivery in Q4 2013.

The signed contract is subject to final board approval and financing, which is expected to be clarified during Q2 2012.

The contract is for construction of a large and advance OCV with length of 125m and beam of 25m. The ship is the 3rd ST-259 CD design from Skipsteknisk for Volstad Maritime and the 10th offshore design in total, which underlines the strong relationship between the two companies.
