VIDEO: Subsea 7’s Autonomous Inspection Vehichle (AIV)

Subsea 7, one of the world’s leading subsea engineering and construction companies servicing the oil and gas industry, in collaboration with SeeByte, a leading provider of smart software solutions for unmanned underwater vehicles, has developed an AIV, which has the unique potential to revolutionize Life-of-Field projects.

The Mk1 Autonomous Inspection Vehicle (AIV) is a fully autonomous, hovering vehicle designed to provide general video inspection information of infield Oil & Gas equipment.

It is capable of unmanned autonomous inspection of pipelines, umbilical’s, risers & moorings and subsea structures.
